Access Statement for The Albany Guest House - Bath
Our home is set close to the city centre just a 5 minute walk on level ground and offers six guest rooms. The house is late Victorian and is over one hundred years old and whilst we aim to meet the needs of all our guests there are some period features which might make access difficult for people with limited mobility. There are steps leading to the front of the house and rooms are arranged over three floors and accessed by stairs. There is one room on the ground floor. The large family room has some low ceilings areas within it due to it being within the roof space. Rooms are of varying sizes and most are not suitable for wheelchair users.
We are located on the Upper Bristol Road just off Queen Square, which is one of the main roads into the city from the southwest, and we are 5 minutes by taxi or 15 minutes by foot from Bath Spa railway station and Bath Bus Station. Our location is ideally suited for those travelling with or without a car.
The nearest shops are ~500 yards away on level ground (city centre) and we are ~400 yards from a local supermarket.Being this close to the centre of Bath everything is accessible within a 5-15 minute walk. The nearest bus stop is less than 100 yards away and buses run every few minutes into the city but as we are so close we recommend walking
Allergies & animals
Unfortunately we offer the house to guests with allergies and cannot therefore accommodate any animals, with the exception of assistance dogs. Guests with assistance dogs can only stay in our ground floor family room as it's our only room that provides appropriate facilities. Please contact us direct by email or telephone to make a booking if you wish to bring an assistance dog.
